Speed Skating NEWS

Skate Victoria sent a selected Speed Team to compete at this year’s Korea Open in Namwon, South Korea. The 12 skaters raced in various events on the flat banked track and road venue. The sanction, Team Managers report and skater testimonials can be viewed on the ‘Competitions’ page on this website.

The trip was a great experience for our skaters and Skate Victoria plans to send a team to the 2011 event. (Dates to be announced in January 2011.)

Grand Prix #2 is to be held this Saturday, 26th April, at Bayswater Roller City, between 5.30pm-7.30pm. The venue is at 37 Scoresby Road, Bayswater and is on Melways Map 64 G4.
For Senior A, B, C and Junior A & B there will be 500m, 1000m and 3000m races. For Junior C and Silver there will be 500m, 1000m and 1500m races. Mixed relays will also be held.
