Inline Hockey Victoria NEWS

Last Saturday in Moe we had our second session. A few players from Melbourne and a core of players from Moe made the group. All went well, players got to work on their skills both skating and stick skills and inproved. Our next session will be at Puckhandlers on 9th Feb 08 at 10am-12pm. In 2008, we are planning on going to other rinks like Bayswater, Lilydale, Frankston etc. Below is a picture of the Moe Group.

Last Thursday and Friday was the annual Achper Conference for Victorian PE Teachers. I was there for a third year in a row promoting our school program. I got about 40 potential new schools for 2008 from the 2 days. Below is a picture of my stand.

The book is now ready and available.

This booklet is designed to help coaches teach basic Inline Hockey skills in a development class.

Last Saturday, we had our hockey school in Dandenong. With a special guest coach from South Australia; Lucy Parrington help Travis, Jeremy and myself teach a small group of players who wanted to get better with their skills.

This Saturday, we are having our second session in Moe 4-6.30pm, just before the Pro league games.

Just a reminder to all clubs that registrations are now due and from
this weekend any player that is unregistered will be deemed an illegal
player. Please ensure that your players are all currently registered.

Also a reminder to all referees, if you are not a player then you must
register as an associate member to be able to referee. I will be
sending Phil Lloyd a list of any referees not currently registered.
