I cannot believe that a whole season has passed by us again. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Grand Finals on Sunday as I do not have a car at the moment. This is the first time in years that I have missed it and from all accounts there were some excellent games. Congratulations to all teams that won their respective finals and now we move onto the next season.

Could all clubs please remember to get your nominations in for next season asap. Couple of things to remember is that all ages are now as of the 1st January 2009. Any dispensations granted for the season just gone have now expired and any club requiring dispensations must re apply.

All player and club registrations will also be due when the Summer season commences so please ensure that all your registrations are up to date.

Finally thanks to all clubs for another great season of hockey and I look forward to working with you all again in the Summer 2008 season and to all those going to Nationals GOOD LUCK. Hope you all have a great time.

FIRST TOURNAMENT TO BE RUN ON SUNDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER
9.30 A.M. – 12.30 PM
AT SKATEWORLD MORDIALLOC
COST $12.00 PER PLAYER
FORMAT ROUND ROBIN

The tournaments are aimed at U12’s development children participating in club/rink development classes and U10’s players who have played in the weekly league competition.

Only players who have played one season in the league season are eligible to participate in the development tournaments.

The objective of the Series is to give development children the opportunity to participate in games against other children from other clubs/rinks.
Clubs/Rinks do not have to enter entire teams if they do not have enough children.

Teams will be made up from children from different clubs/rinks.
The emphasis is on introducing children to the experience of playing against other children in a non competitive environment. The day is all about having fun.

Coaching Clinics will be conducted at tournaments by Mick Flaherty and Senior Coaches.

Children who have reached Level 1 or 2 of the Badge Program will be awarded their Badges on the day by ILHV Coaching Director Michael Flaherty. Children will also be given a Participation Certificate.

Playing gear will be provided for players who don’t have their own.
Junior Referees will be used to gain experience in officiating.
Development Coaches and parents are encouraged to attend the tournaments. This is an opportunity to introduce parents to the game in a friendly welcoming environment and development coaches to get together and share ideas.
The day will finish off with a Sausage Sizzle where people will be invited to stay and mix with other players, parents, coaches and volunteers.

Tryout for a spot on one of the 5 PHL Teams.

PHL is a draft based elite Inline Hockey competition organized by Inline
Hockey Victoria Inc and played at Puckhandlers. The season commences on
18th October and finishes 4th April 2009 with a break over December/January.

Notice of Meeting and Agenda will be emailed to Clubs on Tuesday 28th
October 2008

Nominations for ILHV Executive positions will be called for Tuesday 4th
November 2008
